After being accused of burning his child’s mother’s house, 50 Cent is now (probably jokingly) advising Floyd to kill his baby mother rather than pay her child support and deal with legal drama.

OKCupid did a study to determine what online daters typically search for as far as characteristics in the opposite sex. Now they determined a few different things from this study but one of the findings that made an impression on me was that Black women are the most ignored race on the net — that is, members of all races respond the least to Black womens’ queries. Word? Contrary to this, they also said that Black men were more likely to date outside of their race than Black women were. Now, that part was not surprising to me. Actually, it would not be surprising to me if other dating sites did a study and their findings were similar. The bigger question is why?
For the life of me, I will never understand why Black women are belittled and seen as less attractive than women of other races. Especially when we are one of the most copied and mimicked race of women on the planet. Women of other races literally die on surgery tables for what many of us have naturally. So why the constant diss to the Black woman? I may not know the exact answer but I do have a few theories.
Are Black Women’s Standards Too High?
1. The stereotypical Black woman is more prevalent among other races than we might know. A person of another race may have limited interaction with Black people. They may only interact with Black women at their place of work. If there are 1 to 2 Black women at their jobs with the stereotypical Black girl, head rolling attitude then they, on some level, think that most Black women behave in this way. Whether they would be willing to admit it or not. Again this is especially for the individuals who have limited to no interaction with Black women outside of their jobs. Meaning they have no Black women as their close personal friends and no Black women in their family.
2. They have accepted the images of Black women that are prevalent in the media. They watch movies with Black women, they may watch a television show with a Black woman as a character, and this is how they gather their perception of Black women. Jennifer Hudson’s fans will have to wait until next year for her early awaited album. Billboard has announced that Jennifer Hudson’s new album has been pushed back to an early 2011 release.
The “American Idol” star has also expressed her excitement at doing performances to promote the album since losing weight:
“I can’t wait to perform again — with my new body” she says.
The singer, who is in the early production process of the upcoming album wants the music to be “more flexible, more diverse”.
She says:
“I definitely want it to be more personal than the first album, and just more me — whatever that is, I don’t know yet but I’m going to find out”.
We can’t wait for this one

By the looks of the clip and the sound of the track, it seems Rihanna is getting us prepared for her upcoming album, LOUD – “sassy, fun, flirty, energetic,” as she stated earlier.
We’re assuming this song will be slated as the second single.

It is the first state visit by a Pontiff to Britain since Pope John Paul II made a pastoral visit in 1982.
But it has been overshadowed by the withdrawal of Cardinal Walter Kasper, a key member of the entourage, just days after he labelled Britain a 'Third World country' - as well as the ongoing child abuse scandal.

Michael Jackson's mother has sued the company that was promoting his comeback concerts for failing to provide proper life-saving equipment.

According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, Katherine Jackson has claimed AEG is liable for the actions of the singer's personal doctor, Conrad Murray, who has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
It says the promoter put "its desire for massive profits" over the wellbeing of the superstar and failed to reduce a punishing rehearsal schedule.
"AEG's action and inactions led to Michael Jackson's death," the lawsuit adds, accusing the company of negligence, breach of contract and fraud.
Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and died just days before the planned start of a mammoth series of 50 London concerts. He was 50.
His death has officially been ruled as homicide - and he died mainly from a powerful anaesthetic used as a sleep aid, as well as other painkillers and sedatives.
The civil action claims that Jackson had appeared drugged and disorientated at rehearsals shortly before his death.
It accuses AEG of failing to alter his "gruelling schedule", despite being aware of his condition.
Damages are also sought for Jackson's eldest son, Prince Michael, who "has suffered great trauma and emotional distress" after watching his father injured and dying.
In a statement issued by her lawyer, Katherine Jackson said: "The purpose of this lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all."
A spokesman for AEG said he could not comment on the case.

George Michael has begun an eight-week jail sentence for crashing his Range Rover while under the influence of cannabis.
A District Judge at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court in London told the singer he will spend four weeks in prison and the rest of the time on licence.
He was also banned from driving for five years and ordered to pay a £1,250 fine, £100 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Judge John Perkins told the 47 year old he had taken a "dangerous and unpredictable mix" of prescription drugs and cannabis.
He added: "It does not appear that you took proper steps to deal with what is clearly an addiction to cannabis.
"That's a mistake which puts you and, on this occasion, the public at risk."
He added that a jail term was inevitable because of Michael's previous conviction.
The court heard police found Michael, real name is Georgios Panayiotou, slumped at the wheel of his vehicle and "spaced out" after the accident on July 4.
Michael pleaded guilty last month to driving while unfit through drugs and possessing two cannabis joints.

Britain’s Brown People Make Pope Uncomfortable

Sometimes friends let old arguments get between them and keep them apart for much longer than they should. That’s why Pope Benedict XVI has decided to be the “bigger man in a funny anachronistic outfit” and plans to head up to Jolly Old England for a make-up visit. But does the Vatican believe that this once pristine island has gone downhill ever since they started letting brown people in? Apparently!
Let’s not forget that Ratzinger and some of his inner circle are Germans, and the Germans and Brits experienced a bit of unpleasantness much more recent than Henry VIII’s marital difficulties. Right before Benedict was supposed to travel to party down with the Queen, one of these German henchmen had something impolitic to say:

The study concluded that men with excess body fat develop more female sex hormones that influence their sexual performance.
The hormone oestradiol is found in high levels in overweight men and allows them to last an average of 7.3 minutes compared to 1.8 minutes for men with lower BMI scores.

Montana Fishburne is checking herself into an inpatient facility that specializes in anger management, behavioral problems and mental illnesses, according to TMZ.
Reports say the facility is in Southern California and Montana will be there at least 30 days. Sources say part of Montana’s stay will be devoted to anger issues, but she’ll also undergo diagnostic tests to determine if there are underlying behavioral or mental issues.
Montana is currently awaiting trial for allegedly beating up the ex-girlfriend of her current boyfriend.
Sources say Laurence Fishburne is unaware that Montana has decided to seek help.
Even though her famous actor father Laurence Fishburne is embarrassed by her porn career, Montana Fishburne says her mom still loves her, but doesn’t want to see her dragged into the dark side of the porn industry.
When asked about her mother,who has been divorced from Fishburne since Montana was two years old, here’s what she had to say:
“My mom just says, ‘I love you.’ We don’t talk about it every day. She wants me to be happy and doesn’t want me to get dragged into the dark side of porn.” That dark side, Montana says, includes drugs and destructive behavior from “low self-esteem.”

While filled with performances from Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Jason Derulo and a surprise appearance from Rihanna, the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards belonged to Lady Gaga Sunday.
The "Alejandro" singer not only swept the awards with wins for the hit video and single "Bad Romance" but also received an award for a collaboration with Beyonce (see list below).
Winning a total of eight awards, Lady Gaga picked up Video of the Year, Best Dance Video, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, Best Editing, Best Direction, and Best Choreography.
For "Telephone," the hit video that has received over 33 million views on VEVO, Lady Gaga and Beyonce earned Best Collaboration.
Justin Bieber was another big winner Sunday, earning his first MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist.
Eminem, also performing during Sunday's celebration of music and pop culture, won Best Hip Hop Video for "Not Afraid."
As previously reported the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards were hosted by Chelsea Handler with presenters including Kim Kardashian, Cher, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Penn Badgley, Justin Timberlake and Emma Stone.

Taylor Swift gave the audience at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards a preview of one of her new songs, apparently titled “Innocent.” The song is likely a track from her coming album, “Speak Now.”
Swift says that she draws her material from her own life. Was her new song about her infamous faceoff with Kanye West at last year’s VMAs, or something else? “I guess you really did it this time,” she sings in the first line of the song. Later in the tune, she croons “32 and still growing up now/Who you are is not what you did.” That line set off a flurry of web searches–West is 33 years old now, but he was 32 when he interrupted Swift’s speech at the VMAs.
The song could easily be interpreted as a graceful acceptance of West’s apology for his actions. There are references to the month the incident occurred (”You’ll have new Septembers”), to the difficulties of fame (”Lost your balance on a tightrope/It’s never too late to get it back), and to making mistakes (”Every one of us has messed up too”).

The clip comes ahead of the release of the previously confirmed single “Good Hit” and her upcoming album “Love?”
Two notable figures in the Beyonce camp were tapped to assist with the video – creative director Frank Gatson and choreographer Danielle Polanco.
The video, which was directed by Alex Moors, follows J.Lo in the classroom teaching ladies to be “fierce and fabulous.”

“We all sat in a room and came up with a concept for the stage, and then we took that concept to Usher,” VMA executive producer Dave Sirulnick told MTV News about the star’s setup. “We said to him, ‘We want to do the best televised dance routine that you’ve done in years. Let’s show why you’re the king.’ “

One year after Kanye West stole Taylor Swift's thunder in epic fashion at the MTV Video Music Awards, the attention seeker is at it again, however, this time she's fighting back.
Last weekend, West tweeted that he "wrote a song for Taylor that's so beautiful," and if she rejects it, then he'll perform it for her. Well, warm up that Auto-Tune machine, Kanye, because sources tell me she wants nothing to do with it.
"Taylor writes her own sounds and has been very successful at it," a record executive tells me. "Why would she want to sing one of Kanye's songs? The last thing she wants to do is give him any more attention or make him any money."
It's true that songwriters often make more money than performers on song royalties. Dolly Parton, who wrote 'I Will Always Love You,' famously said that when she wrote the iconic song, she opened a bank account, but when Whitney Houston recorded it, she bought the bank.
Taylor is the first female solo artist in country music history to write or co-write every song on a platinum-selling, self-titled debut album. In addition, Swift wrote or co-wrote every song on her blockbuster 'Fearless' album, which has sold more than 5 million copies.
"It's just another insult that this fool thinks she would sing a song he wrote," a friend of Taylor's tells me. "His ego is out of control. If anything, Kanye should be singing a song that Taylor wrote, not the other way around. As far as Taylor is concerned, he can take his song and shove it."
Ouch. Although, I can't say I blame her.

5 Reasons Why Willow Smith Could Replace Rihanna
Willow Smith, the daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, released her single this week titled “Whip My Hair” and the blogs went crazy. No one expected this from little Willow. Where did she get such a voice and big personality? She is already being compared to Pop star Rihanna. The response is that Willow could possibly one day replace Rihanna. I actually think that there is a strong possibility that that could happen. Here are five reasons why.
1. Her Parents
With the backing of two superstar parents like Will and Jada Pinkett Smith your career could be phenomenal. They already have connections within the music business as we can see from her now being signed to Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation. Also, because of her parent’s the chances of her getting suckered by a record label are almost impossible.
2. Her vocal ability is greater than Rihanna
Truth be told, she may be a little girl, but her vocal ability is already proving to be greater than that of Rihanna’s. Also because of her young age she has more time to develop and tighten up her vocal abilities. Not to mention that she does not have her adult singing voice yet. If she already has vocal abilities now then when her adult voice develops chances are she will have an even stronger singing voice.
3. Her style is authentic
It has already been established that Rihanna “borrowed” much of her style from fellow Pop singer and label mate Fefe Dobson. Willow has the opportunity to now carve out her own identity.

5. She has opportunities to change her style
Right now she can be the young hip girl, when she gets about 15 she can be the Rebel teenage girl. When she turns 18-20 she can be the flirty young woman and when she is over 21 she can officially tap into her grown woman style and even add on a little sexy. Are Black Women’s Standards Ruining Their Chances At Love?

A few days ago, I caught another one of the 1,000 specials created by ABC, NBC and CNN about the lack of educated and employed Black men available for Black women, and how the Black family is on the brink of being endangered.
Frankly, I’m tired of seeing these specials, although opening up a conversation that never seemed to be going on in the first place is important – even if it’s orchestrated by a white-owned network.
Whenever I hang out with my friends after work in midtown or in Harlem, we always run into young, professional African-American women – professional Black women who were born here, as well as those who moved here from other places across the country.
Some of my friends recently graduated from top schools, but due to the economic crisis aren’t working in the most ‘attractive’ professions at the moment. They always seem to have it going well with a woman until the woman hears what they do.
‘Oh, I’m a sales associate at a retail store downtown.’
‘I currently work at Fedex.’
‘I’m currently unemployed.’
Now, I’m not sure if it’s the lack of confidence they exhibit when they mention their job (or lack thereof) or if it’s the women, but once occupation is mentioned everything seems to go downhill.
It’s almost like saying the wrong thing right before or during sex.
Sadly, it’s gotten to the point where some friends have even thought about conducting experiments and seeing how different women would react if they were lawyers, doctors, or financiers. I don’t agree with this experiment at all because lying won’t get them anywhere, because they’ll have to tell the truth sooner or later.
Now, the ladies resumes range from Stanford to Spelman. They are 2-3 years into their careers and seem so confident about life now and in the future. But, they want a man and he has to fit a certain criteria. They seem to want someone who is on the ’same level’ as them and I understand and don’t at the same time.
Granted, working at Fedex and at a corporate law firm are two different things. But two people who went to Columbia and Harvard aren’t that much different. The only difference may be that one entered the job market at a flourishing time and the other didn’t.
So, I think despite the lack of Black men out there, Black women have some work to do even if Black men are the ones who need to catch up statistically.
Sometimes I feel like black women use the word ’settle’ to describe a level of occupation. No one in their right mind would tell anyone to settle for a guy who has no ambition, who has no plans in life and is always complaining about his job, but not doing anything to land something better.
But what’s so bad about dating a man who works as an MTA train conductor, makes 50-70k a year and treats you well?
Look at Michelle Obama. She graduated from Princeton, went into the corporate world and gave a guy making 14k a year on the Southside of Chicago a shot – not because of his salary, but because she saw something in him and he was a nice guy. When she was making close to 5 or 6x the salary he was making for close to a decade, she could have left, but she saw a man who had a job, had ambition, and who gave her the feeling he could be a good husband and father.
Personally, I like women who are educated, a bit older, have natural hair, a huge behind, slim waist, nice legs and can cook. She could be as light as Keyshia Cole or as dark as Gabrielle Union. I don’t discriminate. But in mentioning all my likes, I’ve never dated one that has fulfilled all of them. All the women I have seriously dated I really loved despite them not having those traits. I’m sure I didn’t have everything those women were looking for either. I’m sure they saw plenty of flaws in me because we all have them.
What we all have to realize is that no one is perfect and no one is coming around that will be.
I don’t deny that the state of Black men is at an all-time low. I’m also not one of these brothers who are going to say ’support us Black women’ because you’ve been supporting the Black family since the beginning of time. All I will say is keep your standards (for the most part), but don’t let a good man pass you by if he has a good attitude, ambition, but may not fit your overall criteria.
In the end, it’s really all about finding someone you love, and money/title has never been at the top of the list for love unless you’re a basketball wife or a contestant on Ray J or Ochocinco’s show…
A few days ago, I caught another one of the 1,000 specials created by ABC, NBC and CNN about the lack of educated and employed Black men available for Black women, and how the Black family is on the brink of being endangered.
Frankly, I’m tired of seeing these specials, although opening up a conversation that never seemed to be going on in the first place is important – even if it’s orchestrated by a white-owned network.
Whenever I hang out with my friends after work in midtown or in Harlem, we always run into young, professional African-American women – professional Black women who were born here, as well as those who moved here from other places across the country.
Some of my friends recently graduated from top schools, but due to the economic crisis aren’t working in the most ‘attractive’ professions at the moment. They always seem to have it going well with a woman until the woman hears what they do.
‘Oh, I’m a sales associate at a retail store downtown.’
‘I currently work at Fedex.’
‘I’m currently unemployed.’

Is Ciara a Shoe Whore? Claims She Spends $11K a Month On Shoes

Ciara has a secret habit. The 'Ride' vixen, whose controversial new video has stirred up a quite a scandal, had admitted that she is addicted to buying shoes.
In the latest issue of Pride magazine, Ciara revealed that she spends "about $11,000 a month" on her addiction, and owns "maybe a thousand pairs" of shoes. "When I go shopping, my most extravagant purchases are normally going to be shoes," she told Pride. "I just love shoes and go for what's hot. I like everything from Louboutin and Dr Martens to Versace and Fendi."
According to the Atlanta singer, her habit isn't that out of control. "A person should always be able to afford to buy extravagant shoes," she says. "It depends on the items, but, on an average shopping trip I probably spend a minimum of $1,200. It's not that bad! On average, I will spend about $11,000 a month [on shoes]."

There are advantages and disadvantages to both renting and buying…from when something breaks–who’s going to fix it, to not having to worry about making noise–after all it’s my house and there are no nosy neighbors to worry about.

1. Fancier Living: You may not ever be able to afford to own it, but with renting, you can enjoy that luxury condo overlooking the ocean.
2. Perks!: A lot of apartments come with community pools and gyms. My favorite thing about the apartment complex that I lived in during college was the massive swimming pool they had. My roommates and I would spend hours in the summer working on our tans, flirting with the cute neighbors, and sipping on margaritas juice. And think of all the money you’d save on gym memberships.

Beyonce Knowles just ended a legal war with a guy who claimed the singer “invaded his neighborhood” for a video shoot.
TMZ spoke with Philip Markowitz, who sued Beyonce and her production crew back in May for allegedly wreaking havoc in his neighborhood, and he claims he just received a 5-figure settlement to drop the case.
As previously reported, the trouble began when Beyonce used a home in the Hollywood Hills to shoot a music video for the song “Why Don’t You Love Me” and the crew allegedly trespassed onto Markowitz’s driveway.

Markowitz said,
“I’m happy with the settlement, but this lawsuit shouldn’t have happened in the first place.”

Tennis champ Serena Williams is single and ready for love.
Despite pulling out of the U.S. Open tournament due to an injured right foot and ending her two-year relationship with rapper and actor Common in April, Williams is in the market for Mr. Right.
So what should a guy do to date the top-ranked women’s tennis player in the world?
“Call me! It’s that easy. Just pick up the phone and call me!” Williams, 28, told PEOPLE.
More importantly, Williams wants to date a man with strong family values.
“I’m looking for a guy who is close to his parents – his mom mostly because you can learn a lot about a guy by the way he treats his mom,” she says. “And someone who loves themselves because if they take care of themselves, they are able to take care of you.”
As for dating deal-breakers, the tennis ace reveals she’s not keen on bad habits.
“I don’t like smokers, and of course people who disrespect their parents and families. Family is very important to me.”
Although Williams describes herself as “rough and tough” on the tennis court, off the court she insists men shouldn’t find her threatening.
